Hack to the Future Recap: Concept Cars for Tomorrow’s Innovations

At Sibi, innovation isn’t just a goal—it’s embedded in our foundation. When Olu—our Chief Technology Officer—suggested we host an internal hackathon last year, we were all in. It was the perfect opportunity to collaborate, ideate, and craft solutions for real-world challenges, each grounded in Sibi’s core values. That’s when we knew hackathons would become a cornerstone of our year, a tradition that celebrates innovation and community.

For three days, the Sibi team flew in from all of North America to gather at our Phoenix office, diving into AI-driven projects that directly address our customers' needs. The theme of this year’s Hack to the Future hackathon set the stage for tackling real-world challenges, and these projects, much like concept cars, serve as blueprints for the future of Sibi. They’re inspired by real pain points, built on bold hypotheses, and focused on outcomes designed to elevate our customers' daily experiences.

Out of 27 projects in total, we’re excited to highlight five of this year’s standout projects:

Judge’s Vote: Vibecheck

Blueprint & Problem: Imagine receiving an email from a customer and spending valuable time trying to figure out their tone. Are they frustrated, neutral, or thrilled? Misreading sentiment can derail productive conversations and negatively affect both customer satisfaction and resolution quality.

Solution Hypothesis: Vibecheck steps in as your sentiment-analysis assistant, picking up on the emotional nuances in written communication. It analyzes customer interactions in the background, pinpointing mood and tone to bring clarity and understanding to every exchange.

Customer Value: For support teams focused on resolving issues, Vibecheck removes the guesswork from customer sentiment. With real-time insights into how customers are feeling, teams can respond with confidence, improving both the quality and timeliness of their replies. Vibecheck ensures customers feel heard and understood, fostering trust and strengthening relationships.

People’s Choice: Presto

Blueprint and Problem: Our users—like ordering managers, research agents, and pros—often need to process bulk orders and manage various document types (spreadsheets, PDFs, docs) when placing large orders, which can be time-consuming and error-prone. A single bulk order can mean hours spent inputting hundreds of SKUs and quantities, which slows down project timelines and is vulnerable to costly errors.

Solution Hypothesis: Presto is a seamless AI tool where property management, hospitality, and contracting companies can simply upload their documents and the system will intelligently interpret the content to automatically process orders.

Customer Value: For customers managing bulk orders across multiple projects, this means seamless ordering and faster project completion. Presto transforms a tedious task into a streamlined process, eliminating order bottlenecks and improving project flow.

Most Innovative: Notorious SCAN

Blueprint & Problem: Property walkthroughs are crucial, but the process is often slow and involves multiple site visits, manual data entry, and lengthy workflows. Without the right tools, property managers face delays in completing and verifying these walkthroughs.

Solution Hypothesis: Notorious SCAN leverages image recognition to capture property details on the spot, automatically logging products and property conditions directly into the Sibi platform. This concept transforms a smartphone into an efficient data-capture tool for walkthroughs and work orders.

Customer Value: By reducing the time needed for property walkthroughs, Notorious SCAN provides property managers with instant, accurate data that simplifies project planning. With AI-powered analysis, clients gain rapid insights and can easily pinpoint areas for improvement—all while seamlessly syncing with the Sibi platform for a unified workflow. Notorious SCAN puts valuable time back in property managers' hands, helping them stay ahead of the curve and deliver results faster.

Best Use of AI: Argus (Unleashed)

Blueprint & Problem: Data formatting is often a dreaded task. Different document formats, like invoices or work orders, require hours of manual reformatting to be compatible with existing systems. Errors are common, and these delays can slow down operations.

Solution Hypothesis: Argus (Unleashed) provides a universal solution for ingesting various document formats and converting them into a standardized schema. Argus doesn’t just format data—it classifies, extracts, and validates it, ensuring it’s ready for use across different workflows.

Customer Value: By eliminating manual data formatting, Argus frees teams to focus on more impactful tasks. Customers can submit documents in any format without worrying about compatibility issues, speeding up operations and boosting productivity. Blueprint & Problem: Completing tasks efficiently often involves navigating complex workflows, and without the right support, even simple tasks can become overwhelming. This is especially true for clients who need an easy way to manage requests without intricate system knowledge.

Solution Hypothesis: Prompty simplifies task management with natural language inputs, intuitively guiding users step-by-step through workflows. It adapts to each user’s needs, taking the guesswork out of task completion and providing flexible, easy control.

Customer Value: For both clients and internal teams, Prompty reduces the learning curve, making task completion intuitive and seamless. It saves time, improves accuracy, and empowers users with greater control and precision.
